TORONTO, September 8th, 2025 – When it comes to driving pleasure, striking good looks, and quality, nothing beats the Toyota Camry. For 2026, Toyota gives Camry the Nightshade treatment – bringing this limited production styling package to one of the most popular sedans in Canada.
“This year, we’re boosting the Camry’s good looks with the introduction of the new Nightshade edition,” said Robert Tsang, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Meanwhile, as Toyota continues to move towards carbon neutrality, every 2026 Camry features a standard hybrid powertrain - bringing energetic performance, remarkable fuel efficiency and lower carbon emissions. What’s more, the Camry is available in front-wheel-drive and all-wheel-drive options, so Canadian drivers can choose the configuration that’s best for them.”
Curbside, the Camry expresses a sleek, athletic style. Its distinctive “hammerhead” front fascia is fresh and modern, and finished with LED headlights and daytime running lights. Many models feature sporty touches such as mesh grilles and rear spoilers, while every model is finished with grade-specific styling cues.
Inside, the Camry welcomes driver and up to four passengers to a modern, open-concept cabin notable for its refined materials and expert finishes. Toyota designers paid special attention to maximizing seat comfort and in-cabin conveniences to make Camry perfect for long highway journeys. Dual-zone automatic climate control is standard, as are heated front seats, power-adjustable driver’s seat, and a heated, leather-wrapped steering wheel and leather-wrapped shift knob.
Under the hood, the Camry offers an exclusively electrified powertrain built in two configurations. Both deliver impressive power for confident acceleration, combined with equally impressive fuel efficiency and low emissions. The heart of the system is the fifth generation Toyota Hybrid System, built around a 2.5L four-cylinder engine, high-torque electric motors, an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission, and high-capacity lithium-ion battery. Toyota engineers tuned this system to provide a more natural acceleration feel
Specially tuned suspension systems enhance responsiveness and handling agility to make the Camry excel at negotiating twisting and turning roads. SE and XSE models have sport-tuned suspensions that optimize stability and handling while still providing a comfortable ride.
Every Camry is a technology showcase – headlined by the Toyota Multimedia system. This bundle of smart connectivity technologies helps keep drivers informed while simplifying their lives behind the wheel. Toyota Multimedia integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, touch, and voice.
Every Camry also comes with an impressive package of safety features headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 – the newest configuration of Toyota’s suite of active safety technologies and capabilities. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, the Blind Spot Monitor system with Rear Cross Traffic Alert and Safe Exit Assist, a backup camera, and eight airbags.
