TORONTO, August 12th, 2025 – Be daring, in the subcompact SUV that combines style and substance. The Toyota Corolla Cross and Corolla Cross Hybrid push boundaries in one of Canada’s most popular vehicle segments. A lineup of eight models provides exceptional choice – with every grade delivering a winning combination of smart technology, impressive comfort, and driving fun.

“The Toyota Corolla Cross continues to hit the sweet spot for Canadian drivers seeking a versatile, efficient, and confident compact SUV,” said Robert Tsang, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Updated for 2026 with even more features, a fresh new design, and new colour and wheel options, the Corolla Cross offers a bold look with the practicality and reliability and exceptional value Canadians expect from the Corolla nameplate.”

Every Corolla Cross and Corolla Cross Hybrid makes a strong first impression, with a style informed by sweeping body lines and flared fender arches. LED headlamps and tail lamps project unique lighting signatures whether coming or going, while the grade-specific 17-inch or 18-inch wheels emphasize this SUV’s firmly planted stance.

The Corolla Cross is equally impressive inside. Up to five passengers can enjoy its surprisingly spacious and comfortable cabin. Meantime, features like 60/40 split folding rear seats, wide rear doors, ample trunk space, and a low cargo-loading height enable this vehicle’s incredible versatility to carry passengers or haul cargo.

New this year, Toyota has refreshed the styling of the Corolla Cross Hybrid with a redesigned centre console, plus new front bumper and grille designs. Hybrid models are offered in six body colours including a new two-tone option this year: Cavalry Blue with Jet Black roof. Meantime, the Corolla Cross is offered in up to seven body colours, depending on the grade, including four grades available in a new Soul Red body colour.

Toyota offers this subcompact SUV in a choice of three powertrains:

  • Two Corolla Cross models feature a 169 peak horsepower 2.0L Dynamic Force four-cylinder engine, mated to a CVT with sequential shift mode and front wheel drive. This powertrain generates 169 peak horsepower and a fuel efficiency of 7.3L/100km (city/highway combined).
  • Four Corolla Cross models feature the same powertrain as the FWD editions, enhanced with Toyota’s Dynamic Torque AWD system for all-weather confidence and enhanced year-round driving fun. These models are rated at 7.8L/100km (city/highway combined).
  • Two Corolla Cross Hybrid models are built around Toyota’s fifth-generation hybrid powertrain that pairs a 2.0L four-cylinder engine with motor-generators plus an electronically controlled continuously variable transmission with paddle shifters and all-wheel-drive. This combination delivers 196 net system horsepower plus stellar fuel efficiency at just 5.6L/100km (city/highway combined).

Every Corolla Cross is a technology showcase – headlined by the Toyota Multimedia system. Toyota Multimedia integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, touch, and voice.

The 2026 Corolla Cross also comes with an impressive package of safety features headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 – the newest suite of Toyota’s active safety technologies. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, nine airbags, and a backup camera.
