TORONTO, September 10th, 2025 – A well-designed compact sedan delivers a sweet combination of style, driving fun, safety and efficiency and the Toyota Corolla demonstrates why it has been the vehicle of choice for millions of Canadians for more than a half-century.
For 2026, Toyota Canada offers the Corolla in 10 grades built around a choice of both gasoline and hybrid powertrains – each representing outstanding value. There are also grade-specific enhancements including a standard 7-inch digital gauge cluster on gas models, an updated 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster on hybrid SE and XSE models, and tire pressure monitor system added to several grades.
“The Toyota Corolla proves that compact cars can still be big on style, features, and driving fun,” said Robert Tsang, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “It delivers exceptional value with its combination of quality, reliability, and affordability that Canadians can count on. Every model offers easy-to-use technology, confident handling, plus standard safety and incredible efficiency – a recipe that’s helped make Corolla the world’s all-time best-selling vehicle.”
For the 2026 Corolla and Corolla Hybrid, Toyota designers created a stylish body that expresses its low centre of gravity through perfectly proportioned curves and a well-planted, athletic stance. Design details to note include J-shaped bi-beam LED headlamps, a distinctive grille, and wheels pushed to the corners. The Corolla L line exhibits elegant style, while the S series expresses Corolla’s sportier side with larger wheels, a wider honeycomb grille, dual tip exhaust, and rear lip spoiler.
Every Corolla features a comfortable cabin with impressive space for up to five adults, defined by details such as soft touch controls and premium materials, while the driver-focused cockpit features an instrument panel that’s cleverly shaped to enhance the driver’s field of view.
The 2026 Corolla features the Toyota Multimedia system as standard on every model. The system integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Toyota Multimedia features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, touch, and voice.
Under the hood, Toyota engineers have crafted two powertrains – each designed to offer the perfect balance of performance and efficiency.
Built on the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) platform, the Corolla family features sleek styling and a low centre of gravity. Toyota engineers enhanced these natural sedan advantages with a rigid body structure, carefully tuned suspensions, and active cornering assist technologies. The result is a compact sedan that enjoys impressive stability, outstanding agility, and reduced noise and vibration. The Corolla S line models feature specially-tuned front and rear suspensions to give the driver a more connected road feel – all without sacrificing ride comfort.
Every Corolla and Corolla Hybrid also comes with an impressive package of safety features headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 – the newest configuration of Toyota’s suite of active safety technologies. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, a backup camera, and 10 airbags.
